Project Overview:
Aviato is an app that allows travelers to book and pay for their trips in monthly installments. Aviato is the future of air travel because it offers a way for people to take the trips they want without breaking the bank.
Problem Statement:
The problem with traveling today is that airplanes are expensive and take to much time. The average person can't afford to fly and even if they could, the time commitment is prohibitive. It would be great if we could fix that problem.
Challenges:
- An app to help millenials pay only as much as they can afford.
- An app that helps to track your CO2 emission footprint.
- Easy to use app without the help of a traveling agent.
Design Process:
Since we were creating a product from scratch we based our process on the Design Thinking approach, and we followed the below process.
Discover Phase:
During our discovery phase we wanted to forecast what assumptions we were correct on and what else we could find to create the best MVP.
Quantitative Research
User surveys were important as they helped to determine our target audience and gain a basic understanding of your users. In our case, we received 1,000 responses and based on those responses, we have gained some key insights:
- We now know that our target audience is mostly made up of women aged 18-24.
- We also know that our users are interested in learning about the best instagram spots, chic hotels and lifestyle destinations.
- We know that our users prefer to read content that is relatable and down-to-earth.
Define Phase
Created personas based on our research. From our research we chose to focus primarily on the influencer persona
Ideation Phase
We went through several journey ideas to understand what steps were the most critical for Ana to be able to travel and feel happy.
Design Phase
Once we had our main steps, we jumped into creating low fidelity wireframes for engineering team to scope effort and helps us further scope to ensure we could launch in time.
